Lobbying Days OCTOBER 7 & 8

Join Efficiency First leadership and other members from across the country as we meet with Members of Congress and the Obama Administration.

WHEN: October 7 – 8^th We will begin on October, 7^th at 1 p.m. and continue through October 8^th at 6 p.m. (an optional dinner will be available on the 8^th).

We will begin with a briefing at 1 p.m. sharp on Wednesday, October 7^th. The briefing will include talking points on REEP Legislation along with updated status of the climate and energy bills moving through the U.S. Senate. After a short period of time we will head over to Capitol Hill and meet with several members of Congress.

Thursday, we will have a busy day meeting with dozens of meetings on Capitol Hill.

FORMAT:

During the briefing Efficiency First members will break into teams of four or five people. You will be provided background on current legislation, bios on the Members of Congress, maps and other tools.  During the briefing we will supply you with your schedule of Hill meetings.

In this 25 hour process you can expect to have ten plus meetings.

Network with members from across the country: share best practices, local politics and laughs.

COST: $150

The $150 will cover expenses for lobbying materials and will cover several meals including a Congressional cocktail reception and dinner on Wednesday evening, October 7^th.

HOTEL DISCOUNT: A block of hotel rooms has been reserved at a discounted rate of $239 per night. This hotel is conveniently located three blocks from the White House, blocks from several Metro lines, near the heart of the Foggy Bottom and Dupont Circle neighborhoods.
