Through a series of posters, GSA is encouraging employees, tenants, and visitors to use revolving doors. The use of revolving doors is paramount to GSA’s efforts to help provide safe, energy-efficient, and productive workplaces. These devices from a historical perspective highlight the prestige and glamour and architecture of GSA’s buildings. The benefits of using revolving doors in place of swinging or sliding doors are that revolving doors:

- Provide immediate energy savings and reduce operating costs;
- Help maintain a stable and balanced internal building environment;
- Reduce the loss of heating and air conditioning from the building; and prevent the entry of wind, snow, rain or dust;
- Prevent doors from being blown open by wind;
- Lessen the likelihood of collisions with people entering and exiting the building at the same time;
- Reduce pollution and noise entering the building;
- Offer lower maintenance costs; and
- Lessen the impact on our planet’s environment.
