I just read an initiative that Obama penned and is giving billions to research involving moving liquid CO2 deep below the Earth's surface to embed it in rock. Not a new idea by any means, but Obama is putting forth the funds to move this forward. Again, not sexy, but it's time to move our energy policy forward in this Country. I agree with you Don. I think that energy efficiency's probably is a marketing one. It's simply not very sexy. Solar panels attract attention, get local press, and you can show it off to visitors. Wherever you fall on the issues of climate change it is clear that the demand for clean energy in the world will bring profits to any country who is positioned to fulfill the demands of the world for clean and efficient energy. A relatively modest investment now will bring us a large payoff if we are smart enough to make it. This is a “No Brainer”.
