I received a call from Sen. Bond’s office last night (3/24). They are pretty skeptical of the program. Sen. Bond has grave concerns about the certification process, and increased cost of energy for homeowners. The person must have only had a few lines of script, because they kept repeating his position that the program needed further review and other options needed to be evaluated. I would have enjoyed talking to the Senator directly, because this person had no interest in listening to any talking points or information to the contrary. Apparently someone “who is going to be hurt” by Home Star has the Senator’s ear. Unfortunately, I have no idea who would be hurt by this stimulus program and investment in sustainability.
