Rarely mentioned is the important point that Home Star puts certification of homes into play, where there are few to no provisions for evaluating the home at this time (except when bought and sold). There are standards for working on a car and its safe operation, but nothing for homes. There are many essential provisions in Home Star that have been long in coming; building efficiency, job creation, and our health and safety. Credos to the designers of Home Star, they are doing it right!
